A strange book. Interesting writing style. Very descriptive but disjointed. Story of a Chinese illegal woman, no skill, trying to make it in NY, meets a white guy, just back from 3 tours in Afghanistan with PTSD.They become a couple. Both are lives on the very bottom rung of society, he winds up killing a guy that was threatening his girl, kills himself, she runs away to Arizona and meets a cowboy that will give her a job on a ranch without requiring papers. Ends like that.
