Precious Moments Storybook Bible

When I saw the title I expected to read just another childrens Bible storybook but it wasnt. It was definitely different. I found it very unique and have never seen one quite like it.
It isnt just a delightful Bible storybook but also a spiritual baby book. The front is like a real Bible with a place to record their family tree for 3 generations. It also has a place for brothers and sisters birthdates and places. Included on the following pages are places for their church record; special ceremonies, churches attended, vacation Bible schools attended, church camps and church outings. Last of all there is a page to record their favorite things. This is a keepsake for generations to come.
It has the Old and New Testament Bibles stories but also Psalms and Proverbs, something rarely seen in a childrens Bible storybook. While not stories, the Psalms and Proverbs are written on a childs level, and they beautifully express what the scripture is saying. The end of the book has a section on Bible songs and prayers.
I love the way the stories are written, that a small child can understand and relate to. The print is large and easy to read for an adult with a wiggling child in their lap or a young reader just learning.
Each section is divided by colored boarders on the pages with small Precious Moments figures in each corner. The illustrations for every story are a full page and they are the beautiful, colorful, Precious Moments characters.
I also like the fact that while it is a hardback book, the cover is soft and also washable. The sturdy pages will hold up for years of reading. It is a very high quality book. My granddaughter has really enjoyed it and has been captivated by the stories and pictures.
I think it would be a fantastic gift, a wonderful book to read to your children or grandchildren, or for church teachers to use in their classes. This book impressed me in every way and I believe it is a great tool for introducing young hearts and mind to Gods Word.
