I thought this book was great. Short, funny, not too complex. Three separate stories of marriage, trust, love and loss. Could be considered a cinical view, but I found it pretty realistic. The characters were fun and the stories were frustrating. Much like life. I'd reccommend it for the "been there done that crowd" otherwise, it might reflect negatively on a single person's view of marriage. ha!

Ellie, Jen and Mara are three friends who are all having problems with their relationships. Ellie was living the perfect suburban life until her husband started cheating on her. Jen is a workaholic who has put her career before her husband for the last 5 years and is now feeling the effects of it. And Mara is an attorney engaged to be married, but not without a signed and sealed pre-nup agreeement.

This was a fun and easy-to-read chick lit novel. The three women are strong characters who stand up for themselves and each other. You are rooting for each one of them throughout. And unlike some chick lit novels I've read recently, you don't feel like slapping the main character silly because she's acting so stupid. There were a few situations that were a bit unbelieveable (did Ellie really think her mother-in-law would take her side in the divorce?), but they didn't detract from the rest of this well-written story. The ending seemed a bit rushed and tidy, and I'm not really sure what to make of Ellie's ending - could there be another book there?

This was the first Beth Kendrick novel I've read, and I'll be looking for her others. Overall, this was a fun, quick read. Recommended!

Funny, witty look at how prenuptial agreements can make or break a marriage. Kendrick is a fantastic writer, as usual.

Cute, funny and a fast read. It kept my attention and I hurried back to finish it when interrupted. A new author for me but am ready for more!

This was a feel-good read. I thought I knew how the ending would turn out at the beginning; I was guessing in the middle of the book--but at the end I was satisfied. I would keep this one for myself if I didn't need credits!
