"Rosie Mills has always dreamed of a home of her own.
Now finally she sees her chance. Impulsively, she heads for the Kansas prairie to care for a widower's young son. In exchange, she'll have a place to call home. Rosie soon discovers, however, that what she longs for even more than a home is someone to love her.
Love is too risky for Seth Hunter. Deserted by his own father, he fears getting close to his son. And after losing his wife, he's not about to let himself fall for another woman. He begins to wonder why the future he is working so hard to build seems so empty.
Faith in a loving Father doesn't come easy for either Rosie or Seth. But when life on the prairie threatens to spin out of control, it may be their only hope - and their only chance to find lasting love.
