This is not an easy read, but it is an important one. The author uses some personal experiences and anecdotes with some of the people she discusses to liven up the prose, but this book reads as though it was from an academic press. It is very well researched and contains a lot of important information that will surprise and infuriate the reader, but is definitely not a beach read.
