The heroine is a starched up, prissy college professor with cats. The hero calls her Professor Prickly and she has been starring in his fantasies for two years. He is a self made man with money and position. The professor thinks he has two attitudes, surly and surlier. So why has he been starring in her fantasies for the last two years?

Faced with aging into the stereotypical spinster with too many cats, the heroine decides to sign up as one of the girls provided at a 'fantasy for guys only' private island 'off the coast of San Francisco'. This part made me laugh, the ladies walk around in the buff the whole time - on an island off of the San Francisco - in March? It's WAY too cold, and goose flesh is so NOT a good look! Inevitably the hero shows up that weekend with the usual results. He wants, she wants, they want - have to 'win' her from others, buy her at auction, spend the rest of the trip in bed with them both hoping it will go beyond the week and afraid to say so... Reasonably vanilla dom/sub - he likes to tie her up and tell her what to do in the bedroom - although I found that he referred to his penis in the third person a bit disturbing.

It's a fun and sexy read-once. A sequel 'The Addiction' is mentioned [and teased in the story] but I can't find any record of it.

An erotic "Fantasy Island" with the requisite (ie. corny) happy ending. A very fast read; could have been soooo much more......

A good erotic romance. Kris is a boring, lonely, academic type who has never experienced adventure, or excitement. She decides to an exclusive "spa" and be a sex slave for a few days. Her nemisis, Jack, who is crazy about her, is there. Enjoyable story, characters that you can love, and great sex scenes. I enjoyed. Its worth a credit.

I loved this book! Fun, very sexy and romantic. Yeah, corny ending, but that's ok, part of the fun. I'm hooked and will be ordering all the Jaid Black's I can!

Wow, is this one steamy. Brainy aging woman wants to experience something wild but little does she know a colleage will be there to see. He's been wanting her and she's been wanting him too, so what happens when they finally get their chance is something that will burn them both up. Ms. Black really knows how to write steamy books with a good story. Enjoy!

More sex than plot. Reasonably vanilla dom/sub - he likes to tie her up and tell her what to do in the bedroom - all parties seem to have a good time.

Read this in one sitting and *loved* it. Yes, the set up is completely unrealistic, but the characters and story more than make up for it. I have to agree with Heather (magicmama) about the ick factor of the entire 'daddy' thing, but it wasn't enough to stop this from going on my keeper shelf.

This was a good book. Quick read, perfect for a day at the beach.

The man in the book seemed more like a caricature than a real person. He's your typical alpha male hell bent on having the woman he wants. The woman he wants seemed like a cartoon. She's the frigid, highly educated professional woman who is a bitch to work with. She of course only needs good sex to break her out of her self-imposed shell. The sex is pretty hot and extremely graphic, but I also found the whole "daddy" bit very off-putting. Compared to some of Jaid Black's other books, this one wasn't that bizarre.

Well, that was fun! This story has great fantasy appeal. Jack was delicious in his manly, possessive way. It was fun to see him go through the competitive paces to ensure he was the one to 'win' Kris. And I think most of us can see at least a little bit of ourselves in Kris, an extremely passionate yet lonely person hiding behind her geeky, unassuming exterior, so it was exciting to live vicariously through her special fantasy. The editing could have been better, but the story was better than average with a very appealing main couple who scorched the pages. 4 stars.

This book had a little of everything. The characters were delightful, but a little dull. I wasn't able to really fall in love with the characters. Still if your looking for a book that can make your panties wet, this books for you. It had some major pantie dripping scenes that were so graphic I had to focus on my breathing. I could picture everything and wow was it amazing. I had some very good dreams after reading this book.

Still the book was lacking in the development in characters and was a little one dimensional in the illusion of what clearly would never happen. Still it was worth my time reading and that's enough for me.
