I and My kids love this book. It is such a favorite that we wore out a paperback from reading it so much. It is a great story about learning to like your self whoever you are and that there are others like you out there. In this case people with names that don't seem to fit.

A poor porcupine is named Fluffy. While trying to find ways to be less spiky and more fluffy, he makes friends with a Rhino who also has a funny, odd fitting name.

Obviously their parents loved them very much, but the names they chose for the small porcupine and the large rhinocerous are just not appropriate. Kids love this story - but then so do the adults who read it to them (or, truth be told, read it to themselves.)
Very cute !
Laughed out loud every time - hilarious!
This is an adorable story that makes you laugh!
Mr. and Mrs. Porcupine have a baby, and go through different names, and finally decide on naming him Fluffy. But little Fluffy definately wasn't. He found this out when he tried to be a pillow on his mother's chair, and when hepoked holes through his umbrella.
Fluffy tries everything he can (soaking in the tub, shaving cream all over his quills) but nothing makes him any fluffier.
He then meets a Rhino whose name is HIPPO! They both laugh and laugh so hard, your kids will surely get a giggle or two.
