Highly recommended! This book was unputdownable. An utterly fascinating behind-the-scenes, no holds barred view of politics at the national level. Plus, lots of dirt on John Edwards, who comes across as the most hypocritical, fake, jerk of a politician out there (though I know many more of them share these traits!).

Definitely read this if you have any interest in politics. Riveting!!

I enjoyed this book a great deal. I feel for andrew young, whereas I am sure he went way too far in caring for the Edwards' family, you can understand how he got caught up in it all, it mirrors the real life that many of us face with powerful and rich bosses and little guys trying to get ahead, it could never have worked out good for Mr. Young. that being said, my biggest revelation about this book is that Mrs. Edwards was not the common, normal mom that we thought. I have read her books, I thought very highly of her, but I think that what Mr. Young writes is likely true and that most powerful and hugely wealthy people cannot understand the common person and that high aspirations such as the White House blind a person. THis is a really good book if you found yourself routing for John Edwards and need to know what it was really like.
