Paranormal romance by Larissa Ione. This is a great book. She slays demons, and he's a Demon doctor. They each hate what the other is, but can't fight the attraction between them. This book has lots of interesting creatures, action, tormented, yet likeable characters, humor, and hot sex scenes. The plot is great and keeps you guessing. It's almost 400 pages, and I read it in one day. It reminds me a little of J.R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood, but with less angst. Great read and worth a credit.

Pleasure Unbound was great. I couldn't put it down. Ione's world was fascinating and engrossing. I loved Eidolon and Tayla, though she did get on my nerves slightly in the beginning. I really liked how Tayla's eyes were opened to the Demon world and when she discovered that not everything is black and white. This is a fantastic start to this series and I can't wait to read the next book.

This is a new paranormal series that grabs you from the beginning. Yes, this is a story about a demon doctor, Eidolon and a demon slayer, Tayla, who despite being enemies start a romance - but it is so much more than that. You are brought into a world where there is an underground demon hospital; a world where there are demon half-breeds who may or may not know what they are; and where demon slayers (or as they call themselves, Guardians) exist. Both Eidolon and Tayla begin to realize that the world is not black and white - and that the world is different from what they thought it was...
This promises to be a great series that focuses on Eidolon and his brothers who have the same father, but different mothers, so their powers and demon traits are different. Although you meet an array of characters in the book - it only enhances the story and does not detract from it at all. I read this book in one sitting, and I can't wait to read the next two books that come out this spring. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves to read paranormal stories!

I enjoyed this book a lot. At first it was a little hard to get into because of the various demons & the characters, but I stuck with it & I'm glad. The author throws a lot of info at you but she is setting up the storyline for the series. I recommend this book.

If you like vampires, shape shifters, ETC, I think This book has every type of paranormal creature. But mainly, lots of different styled demons.
This book is very busy! Many many characters, lots of action (battles), a little suspense, lots of romance.

Great Book..you get a great story with a great romance. Kept me interested the whole way through!
Lots of action, interesting characters, and well written. I was impressed with the polish of this author. Good fun reading, the next installment is already on my auto buy list.
Recommended for anyone who enjoys a good paranormal romance.

Dark, sexy, fun, funny, creative. If you like paranormal books, you'll like this story. I absolutely loved this first book in the Demonica series. It's a word where demons, shifters, vampires, and humans live alongside each other. The demons aren't all bad, just as the humans aren't all good. Tayla, the heroine, is a demon slayer. She's very strong and capable. She's not one of those too stupid to live heroines who cries at the drop of a hat. Her quips will have you laughing. She's also not all that she seems. The hero is a kind hearted demon ER doctor for paranormals. He and his brothers are humanoids. The interactions between the hero and the heroine are sizzling hot.
I would definitely read the other books in this series. If all ER doctors were as handsome and sexy as the hero, I'm sure more women would be getting into accidents just to get to the ER!

The first book in a series that looks to be a winner. There are a lot of characters introduced, as well as introducing us to her whole new world, and it was well enough done that I didn't get lost or bored by long explanations. Hot sex and a great emotional connection drive a compelling romance. Fans of JR Ward and Kresley Cole should try this one out.

Delicious read. Very interesting and action packed. I could not put it down and could not stop my self from turning page after page till the end. The author gives great details when explaining the different demons and orgainzations in the book. I reccomend this to any one looking for just the right amountof sex and action. I will enjoy getting the next installment.

This was one of the hottest, darkest romances I have ever read. I think I need to read it again to determine like or dislike, but it sure was HOT! On hottness alone I give it 4.5 stars.
Hot and steamy. Larissa Ione has created a whole sub-culture of beings that are believable and interesting. Great summer read.

Good. Worth the BDB comparisons although I don't think it is as well written or well-plotted. But I enjoyed and will certainly read more.

I really liked this book, however, it is SO similar to J.R. Ward's "Black Dagger Brotherhood" series that I expected it to link up to them at any moment. The demons are hunted by humans. One of the main characters is even named Wraith, which is similar to Wrath in the Ward's books. He was kept prisoner and tortured just like Zsadist was in the Brotherhood books. One of the brothers is in to S&M and carries a curse just like the Brotherhood. The similarities are so abundant that I'm actually surprised this author hasn't been in trouble for stealing ideas. The second book "Desire Unchained" was even originally going to be called "Shadow Lover" which sounds just like "Dark Lover" from the Brotherhood.
Having said all that, the books are really good. Not as good as JR Wards, but still very good.

I loved this book! People have been telling me to read Larissa's books, but I was swamped with other things to read, so I told them I'll wait. I really wish I'd have picked them up when they told me to!
I love the fact that there were more than just demons. There were sub-species of demons. Probably hundreds of different kinds of demons in this book, and they all had different traits, looks, powers and history. I also love that Larissa put the brothers, Ediolon, Wraith and Shade, in a hospital. They all have diffrent powers but they are kind of based around healing.
I've never read a book like this. I love paranormal books. I love romance books, and I love nurse/doctor/ER/hospital books. This ONE book has all three of those. It's my dream come true, really.
Oh, and the romance. Most books jump into a romance but not this one. Tayla gives Eidolon a run for his money and life, literally.

Great hot steamy paranormal romance! Great alpha male characters. The story was captivating and I could not put it down.
She is very similar to JR Ward. What I like about "Pleasure Unbound" is that it wasn't your typical predictable 2-dimensional story. She threw a few curve balls into the mix and made you want to continue the series as soon as possible. It really reminds me of Ward's earlier work.
*****Minor Spoiler*****
I've only got one question? Where can I get that potent demon sperm? If only regular jizz could feel that good.

Excellent. Great, interesting story with suspense, romance, humor and sizzling sex. Tayla is street smart, but willing to put aside her prejudices when confronted with hands on experience with the demons she has been hunting. Eid is in essence George Clooney, his semen is an aphrodisiac (no kidding). Highly recommended.

When Demon-slayer Tayla Mancuso is badly injured during a battle, she ends up at Underworld General Hospital, run by the demons she has vowed to destroy. She believes they will torture and kill her. She doesn't expect to attracted to her doctor, Eidolon. Eidolon is a Seminus demon who is nearing his transition into a full incubus. He has been using his skills as a doctor to keep his lust under control. But he doesn't expect his passionate reaction to Tayla, a woman he considers the enemy.
This is the first book in the Demonica series. The beginning of the story suffers from information overload about the world-building and demon terminology. But after 50 pages and a sex scene that felt a bit out of place to me, the story picked up and I was thoroughly drawn into it. This book has everything: action, humor, espionage and romance. Eidolon is a great hero but Tayla took a little while to grow on me. The supporting characters in the book are interesting. I love the relationship between Eidolon and his brothers, and I'm looking forward to their books. My rating: 4.5 Stars.

After reading the reviews about this book/series I found myself looking for this book and I'm glad I did. The story moves at a great pace. As with all 1st in series there is alot of information thrown at the reader, but the author does it well, you never feel that you are given too much at one time or that the information given isn't relevant to what it going on. The chemistry between Tayla and Eidolon is great ~ it never feels "forced". The other characters introduced are well written and add to the story and also make me want to read the rest of the series to see what happens to them all. It's also safe to say that if one starts to read this series they should start at the beginning with this one.
*Spoilers ahead!*
I've heard great things about this series, and looked forward to reading it. However, I was so dismayed with the beginning of the book that I couldn't even finish it. At the start of the book, Tayla is critically injured and winds up in Eidolon's demon-run hospital--a major issue, since she's a demon-slayer. Eidolon's brother decides to "mess with" Tayla's mind while she's unconscious, making her *very open* to sexual suggestion. Eidolon takes advantage of this and has sex with her, even though he knows she's not in her right mind.
Now, I'm not a prude by any means--heck, I used to read Laurell K. Hamilton (until she got too weird, that is). It wasn't that Ione threw a sex scene between the two main characters in the first 25 pages of the book (although that was also a bit off-putting), or that the sex was too graphic. It was the fact that Tayla was under an outside influence and not acting of her own volition--and Eidolon had sex with her anyway. I know people will argue--the characters are "meant to be together," they're "soulmates," so it's ultimately OK. To me, it wasn't much difference between this and a frat boy taking sexual advantage of a drunk college girl because she wasn't sober enough to say no. I found it troubling and offensive, and couldn't finish it.

The story of Slayer Tayla Mancuso and Half-Demon Dr. Eidolon was a roller-coaster ride! I was laughing out loud, crying and cheering on the good guys!
Demonica is the first series I have read of Larissa Ione, this book was phenomenal and I look forward to the rest of the series.
Paranormal Romance at its best!

Very fresh writing! I fell in love with Larissa Ione when I read this book and can't wait for future books in the series. Great, great read.
This book was FAB-U-LOUS! Great story, interesting characters, and a couple suprises. (I should have seen them coming, but didn't) I'd be interested in seeing a lot of the characters in this book get their own books! I can't wait to read the next in this series!
I thought this book was great. Went into it not knowing a thing about it. It was quick to suck me in and held my attention very well!! Just started the second book, hoping it's as good if not better than this one!
I had a hard time when I first started the book, keeping up with all the different Demons, Vampires, Half breeds. But I was hooked at the same time.
Loved the tension and all the different Characters.
How Tayla discovers who she is and Eidolon's need to bond with her.
A good read!

This was a good read and interesting flip on the vampire and other world. Gives a new outlook on this subject matter. I would recommend this one and the others that go with the series.
Pretty good for the start of a series. I'll most certainly read the next one. I liked the characters and the world she's created was nice and different.
love this series.
I really liked this book. I liked the way it showed that we are usually more alike than we are different. It was fast paced and this book showed just how sexy docotors can be. LOL
This book was awesome. I tend to not really like book with alot of sex in them, but the plot, characters, and theme was amazing so I kept reading. You will not be disappointed, its a MUST read!
This is a great book. On par with J.D. Ward -- seriously. And I don't often review but just had to tell everyone. I'm getting all the other Demonica books in the series.
Hot read, can't wait to read the next book in series!
I really enjoyed this book!
I was not impressed by this book. IMHL it was a JR Ward knock off. Same old story but I'll give her credit in that the setting was unique. Okay beach read but I doubt I'll be reading the follow ups even though I have the next 2 sitting in my TBR. They have been moved to the bottom of the list.
lots of action...keeping the different species separate is great!
Holy hotness Batman! I love this author! Sorry peeps, this one is a keeper!
Love this story and I am defiantly enjoying these stories by Ione
I really enjoyed this book.
