Maybe I just wasn't in the right frame of mind when I read this book, but it was a little too silly for me. Tristan was sure sexy, though, and I love Showalter's use of humor.
Moderately entertaining, but Sherrilyn Kenyon did it better.

I am really loving this author. Have only read a couple of her books but am going to work on getting them all. This is Tristan & Julia's story. He is a pleasure slave because a sorcoress couldn't make him love her. When Julia opens the box she gets quite a surprise and she has Tristan teach her how to get a man. Tristan wants to be that man but it takes him some convincing. He does succeed and together they learn about love. Great, fun book. Quick read.

WOW, it has been a while since I read a book I could not put down, this one has a good plot and story line. A good ending and everything in the middle is a must read. I like this author and will be reading allot more of her. I highly recommend this book to anyone who just wants to dream the day away.......................

I loved this book! The plot is funny and sexy. It was very entertaining and I couldn't help my amusement at the situations the hero and heroine find themselves in. A comedy of errors meets romantica. All ingredients for a most satisfying read.

This was my first Gena Showalter. I loved it, and this author is on my auto-buy list.
Julie Anderson wasn't looking for a pleasure slave, but she got one in the broad, abs of steel, Tristan when she purchased the battered jewelry box that was Tristan's prison. Julie couldn't help falling for the guy-- after all, he had centuries of practice in the bedroom and was really, really good at it (and handsome). Before long, Julie is madly in love and so is Tristan, because Julie refuses to use him, abuse him or make him perform like a circus dog--what man wouldn't fall in love with a woman like that? Ah, but true love never did run smooth. According to his curse, if Tristan tells Julie he loves her, he loses her, banished to the other side of the universe. And if he doesn't tell her? Tristan will probably lose Julie anyhow. Luckily, this is romance world.

I really enjoyed this book. An enjoyable twist on the genie in the bottle theme. I can't wait to read more about this world in the future!

Gena Showalter is one of my favorite authors, and this book did not disappoint! Quite different from her darker books. These characters are easy to love and the story is sweet, with some spice for flavor.

I was disapointed in this book. Love Gena Showalter! But this was my least favorite of all her books. A good read, but it drags in many places and lacks the spark that most of her books have. Still that being said, still a good book.
