The love story between Mayne and Josie was lovely, well written and enjoyable. Unfortunately, this book was two romance novels rolled into one, which resulted in a lot of confusing and mind numbing head hopping.
Also, whoever wrote the blurb on the back cover obviously did not read the book. It is very misleading.

I found the book to be unorganizaed and dissatisfying, but I know there are others out there who are obsessed with PfP. It is something you should decided for yourself

Tired of slender romance heroines who forget to eat-or maybe never knew how? Then you definitely need to meet the Scottish Sausage! A fun little read, perfect for when you need a piece of brain candy as a reward.

Another good period novel wrestling with what I think of as a modern theme. Still an excellent writer and well-crafted story about one of the current Regency heroines I like the most.

Loved this book. Loved the hero . . . loved the heroine. Did I mention I loved the hero . . . especially when he put on a dress . . . laughed right out loud. In fact, I laughed out loud a few times reading this story.

Josie is the last sister to find true love. She is so funny and the book is very well written. Good close to a great series.

I wasn't that impressed with the first two books of the series but I found myself really enjoying this one. I think I was more forgiving of Josie's antics because she was so young (18 I think). There were some fun moments and the addition of Griselda's affair was nice. I did wish James did more with the Thurman plot.
The back cover synopsis of the book was horrible. It's not this story at all. Obviously whoever wrote it never read the book. Also for a story about a lush women, the cover photo shows one as willowy as they come.

Oh I loved it! The last of the Essex sisters, Josie's story and the BEST! Enjoy! =) The only disappointing thing: the cover, lovely as it is, didn't portray a "Josie" type figure.

Not the best of the series, although I had high hopes. There's an awful lot of yacking and not much action, ultimately.
AS always, a great Eloisa James book- the story of Josie-
from the back cover..."fueled by knowledge that notoriety is better than failure, witty, unconventional Josie does what no proper young lady shoud- she challenges fate. She discards her corset and adn flirts outrageously. She attends horse races and allows an arrogant rakehell to whisk her behind the stable for a kiss... and is caught

This is Josie's story the last of the Essix sisters.

While not my favorite of the series, I did enjoy this book. I liked Josie and Mayne together but disliked his relationship with Sophie the first half of the book. I also found other parts of it annoying and some distracting, mostly the whole Hellgate scenario. But I like Josie and was happy to see a larger sized heroine.
Great story.
This is a good book it is one of a series of books. But you don't need to read the others to read this one.

I have been waiting for this book since the series first began...so wonderful for Mayne to find love...and Josie to get her own story.

Love Eloisa James, great story and hot romance.
Excellent conclusion to the Four (Essex) Sisters series!
This was a great book. It had a magical quality that I wasn't expecting. Great author!!
The fourth book about the Essex sisters. All four books are filled with good characters
Loved this one. The end of the Essex sisters series. Worth the wait.
Finally, Josie has her story! You get to see plenty of Annabel, Imogen, and Tessie, too. The notorious Earl of Mayne has a few suprises comming, as does his sister Griselda! Very nice completion to the Essex sisters series!

4th book in quartet
This was a delightful end to the Mayne Mania. Josie is wonderful and sexy and Mayne is Mayne. If you like Eloisa James other books, you'll like this one. If you are new to the author, start with Much Ado About You and settle in for some serious enjoyment.
Finding a suitable match is challenging enough, but doing so while known as the "Scottish Sausage" is simply impossible. Ever since she was burdened with that cruel sobriquet, Josie Essex's social life has been one of constant humiliation. No matter how she tries to play down her lush attributes--or reshape them with the help of a wonder corset--Josie still feels like a failure. So when Garret Langham, the Earl of Mayne, offers his help, Josie is just desperate enough to accept. No one could be better at teaching her the art of seduction than the ton's most notorious rake. Josie knows that Garret is hopelessly in love with his new fiancee, the chic Sylvie de la Broderie, but when she begins to attract her own circle of suitors, Josie discovers that she might be better at the game of love than she thought since Garret seems just the slightest bit jealous of her new success! With her usual stylish writing, exquisite sensuality, brilliant characterization, and sharp wit,
All's well that ends well... wholesome Josie Essex captures the attention of the infamous rake, the Earl of Mayne.
Josephine Essex erroneously believes she is too plump to suit current fashion. A somewhat drunk earl convinces her to discard her corset and let fate take a hand in romance.

Romance, 4th and final book in the essex sister series. Sweet story, a little bit hard to follow.
make sure you read the three books before this one--great romantic read--I love Eloisa James!
Very good book with a unique heroine.
This was my favorite in the Essex Sister series.
Great story about the last sister. As with all her books, Eloisa James makes you want to finish one quickly so you can read more.
I liked this book. It was pretty much simple and cut to dry, but still entertaining and worth reading. I do recommend it :0)
