Ricki Sparks runs a bakery and every time Garrett McBride walks through the door she gets a hot flash. When her Aunt Madge sets her up with a blind date, never in a million years would she have expected him to show up on her doorstep. One evening out and the attraction is mutual.
Seems like Ricki has what I call a stalker friend..the friend who wants to be the center of your world and absolutely does not want your attention elsewhere.
Deena (stalker friend) does not like Garrett at all and doesn't hesitate to let him know. And then Deena decides that Garrett is not the man for Ricki, that he will be like most men .. like her ex-husband ... who was very abusive.
There is a major twist to this story including two previous murders.
I really liked the storyline as it was different and one I hadn't seen coming.
