I am delighted to meet a character who doesn't have convince herself she is strong. She's smart and stubborn and accepting of herself--without the fluff-headed drama of our beloved Aisling. She's ass-kicking and considerate, all in the same package.

Long live Mayling! I am so pleased to meet you.

I loved all four of MacAlister's Aisling Grey novels, and this book is an offshoot of that series. One of the minor characters in several Aisling Grey novels is at the center of this one. I was hoping that Aisling and Jim, my two favorite characters from the other novels, would show up, and they do, for which the book is guaranteed at least three stars. Like the Aisling Grey novels, this book is laugh-out-loud funny and highly entertaining. It's one I could read over and over again for pure enjoyment.

I will admit to liking the character of May... other than that, I will say that the rest of the book had me doing either "oh please" or "aargh!" I stopped reading it 3 times, only to resume because there was nothing else and I CANNOT be without my daily dose of reading! He hehe...but enough of my psychoses.
About May, it is really nice to see that Ms. MacAlister has -finally!- brought forth a female main character who is able to fend for herself, who is no simpering female at the mercy of her hormones. Gabriel was one of my faves from Holy Smokes, and the fact that he betrayed the main characters in favor of his own agenda added depth to his character; but here he is another love-struck dragon in the same boat as Drake the uber-sexy. What a waste.I have really tried to like Drake and the other dragons, but they are so 2-dimensional it makes me want to cry. And once again, Aisling is clueless!!! aaarrrggghhhhh!!!
I'm ok now.
BTW, if you have not visited the otherworld.com site you will have a bit of difficulty keeping up with all the members of the L'au-dela. The cast of background characters is longer than that of Naruto Shippuuden.

I was a little nervous about starting this series (Silver Dragons) because I really loved the Aisling Grey series and wondered if this one would be as good. I am glad that I decided to give this a chance and read it. It was great - funny and quirky, with strong characters, and I found myself wanting more when it was over. Some characters from the Aisling Grey series were in this story as well - I like when characters can reappear and not just slip into the great unknown. I can't wait to read the next book in the series. I recommend that you read the Aisling Grey series first and then pick this one up so you can get all the back story.

Great continuation to the Guardian series. I'm glad Drake and Aisling are in this book. Gabriel meets his mate and she is great.

It was fun and I'm glad Jim had a part in the Silver Dragons. I know I'm going to read Book 2. I think I like Gabriel a bit more than Drake only because Gabriel talks more and is more open and less rigid than Drake. Both are still really sexy though.

Similar to her other books. I did find this one to be a bit more Harlequin Romance like than the others.

I loved the previous 4 books. They rocked. This book not so much. At first I thought well maybe I just loved Jim. Nope he appears in this book and it still drags on slowly. I really did love the previous 4 with Ash as the main character. For some reason I just hated this one. I did not like the main character and I especially hated her twin. It was just not as well done as the Ash set.

This book follows the story of May, a doppelganger and thief under the command of a demon lord. She meets Gabriel, a dragon, and discovers that she is his mate. When she if commanded by the demon lord to steal something of great value to Gabriel, she must choose between following the command and following her heart.

The problem that I encountered with this book was that half-way into it I realized that I should have read the other series by Katie MacAlister-Aisling Grey-first. This series is a spin off of that one and while I was told it could stand alone, there were times when I was confused. None the less, the book was fairly enjoyable--it was fun, funny, had interesting characters, and a fairly decent plot. So my advice is, read the Aisling Grey series first, then enjoy this quirky romance.

So, I stayed up all night to finish this book. Well, only until 3am anyway. I was so caught up in the Silver Dragon story that I just didn't want to put it down. May is a doppelganger of a naiad Ceyrene. She also is bounded to a demon lord who makes her steal whatever he feels like he would want. Oh, and she just found out that she is also a wyvern's mate. For those who follow Katie Mac's Aisling Grey books and enjoy them...this is a not to be missed book. I have only read one of them to date and found that I was a little put off by the amount of Aisling and Drake in this book. It is almost a continuation of an Aisling book instead of a completely different series. With that said, however, the book was quite enjoyable. The romance between Gabriel and May was wonderful and the sex scenes although hot, were not over the top borderline porn and fit completely with the feel of the books and characters. The major drawback of this book is that it technically doesn't have an ending. At least a happily ever after ending. I felt that it ended rather abruptly and could have used another 20 or so pages to wrap it up. The ending or lack of ending rather is an indication that there would be more books continuing the story line. I am just upset that the next book is not available nor do I have any idea when it will be available. Had it not been for the "To Be Continued" feel of the book I would have given it 5 stars. I really can't wait for the next one.

LOVED IT>> finally we get to know more about Gabriel.. I knew she had more in mind for him .. I also like that Aisling still has a part in this too.. Im on the 3rd book of the silver dragons.. r will be in a few days.. and I hope she keeps writing more about the dragons! Love them... and how she portrays them as beast and human... I love the who she has a hidden paranormal world right under our noses.. too bad its nit true huh? lol but yes. read the aisling grey novels first before reading this series! all the books are a fast read, the characters are very well done and in depth and the books are great to just lose yourself in... theres only one thing Id change about these books.. and alot of the so called paranormal romance novels.. I love the romance as much as the next gaL but i think its a tad bit too much done in here.. every time they turn around they are doing it... I could do with a but less sex and more action.. or leave some of the sex to our imaginations...

I've read the green dragon books and loved them. I can say the same about the silver dragon books. This book involves May Northcott, a doppelganger who is bound to a demon lord in payment for her twin's freedom. May crosses paths with Gabriel Tauhou, the leader of the silver dragons, and Drake Viero and Aisling (from the Green Dragon books). May is good at acquiring things. Okay, she's a thief. The adventures she and the wyverns get into keep you riveted.
I'm not giving much of the book away, but it was a good book, an enjoyable read and recommend to anyone. If you've read Katie MacAlister's green dragon books, it's similar to those stories, but each story is different enough to keep you from feeling like you are reading the same story over and over. Katie MacAlister just tells a good story.

I read the "Green Dragons" first - Aisling Grey, Guardian series and loved them. This is a continuation of the same characters, but centers on Gabriel, leader of the Silver Dragons, and his mate, May.

If anything, this book is even more sensual and fun than the first four books! These are light, funny, fast paced, hard-to-put-down books that also have smoking sex scenes. I've had such a great summer reading them and am looking forward to the next in the series.

This just lacked the funny banter from the Aisling GRey series, and no lovealbe character like Aislings's demon. I had great hopes but found the story dull.

The beginning dragged a bit for me but it soon took off and I thoroughly enjoyed the ride. Great independent female lead.

The romance between May and Gabriel could be any women's dream, to have a man so in love and lust he can't keep his hands to himself.
I laughed out loud so much. Especially whenever Aisling's demon Jim is around.

Book one of the silver dragon series continues where the Aisling Grey series ended. This starts a whole new storyline but keeps Aisling popping in so you get to follow what happens with her as well. Loved it.
