This small volume would make a nice gift. It is a very, VERY basic introduction to philosophy and its terminology, using jokes as examples and as parts of explanations. Some of the jokes are laugh out loud funny, some are very corny, and some are just bad. I don't know much about philosophy so I cannot comment on the book's technical accuracy, but supposedly the authors were philosophy majors at Harvard which should lend them some street cred (at least in casual readers of philosophy circles.)
