Trey McAllister returns from the war to find himself tied up in a battle against the most powerful man in Sassy Gap, Lousiana. If only he hadn't stopped to help a few women in need. But now that he's laid eyes on Mira Dupree, there's no turning back.

A very good book to end the Men of the Saddle series. None of the characters of the previous books in the series are mentioned until the very end, but then I realized that this book should have been book 2, not 4. But does not make that much difference since each book can easily be read as a stand-alone.

Trey is anxious to return home to his sisters back in Kansas and see to his responsibilies after being away in the war for three years. But God has a different plan for him as Trey finds he can't turn his back on a town of women in desperate need of help and protection. Mira knows secrets that put her life in danger should she return to her family planation, but believes her return will put an end to the persecution of the women of Sassy Gap.

Very good story -- focuses on forgiveness. Part of a series.

Well-written, as are the other books in the series; however, it's not the best of the series.
