A fun, enjoyable read. I liked the characters of Chloe, Becky and Timothy as well as other members of the Troyer family, especially Grandfather Zook. Though the mystery wasn't extremely strong it added to the story. I guessed pretty early who the bad guy was going to be. Amish fiction isn't something that I tend to read but it was interesting reading about the customs and the different orders. There were some things that I thought could have been expanded on to add more detail, such as Joel and his situation. Left me feeling like there should be something there but left hanging because nothing else was said about what was going on with him. The series does have room to grow and am planning on reading the next book in the series.
