The book sure doesn't look like what it is. It appears to be some sort of heroic fantasy, but it's really a post-apocolyptic story involving talking animals and cyborgs who are evil killers. It wasn't my cup of tea, but it wasn't a terrible story. Not for kids, though. Rough language, situations, and mindless, senseless cruelty, in some places.

Wow, what a great writer. She creates characters that you come to love and worry about. She takes you into alternative worlds and possible futures and spins stories that stay with you for a very long time. They make you think in different ways than you've ever thought before.
