I absolutely love the Inspector Barnaby shows on A&E, so I thought I would give Caroline Graham's books a try. True to form, the culprit is kept hidden until the very end which makes for a very good read. My only criticism for this particular story is that too many of the characters have names so close to each other, that it was hard at first to keep them straight. Other than that, I enjoyed the book and look forward to reading more.

I enjoyed reading this book; it had a couple of surprises in it, for me, anyway. A little personal information about Barnaby that took us into his 25th wedding anniversary. Watery eyes and all. I liked it.

When sour Charlie Leathers and his dog diappear into thin air, his neighbors in the small, sleepy English village of Ferne Bassetare more concerned about the dog than they are about Charlie. Everyone assumes that Charlie will show up--sooner or later. but nobody expect it when he showes up dead.

I enjoy all the Insp. Barnaby books, and this is added to the list!!! An unexpected ending, which isn't unusual in her books.
