"The Pirate Next Door" was a fairly enjoyable read. I do not see myself adding it to my list of "keepers" but I would recommend it to others looking for a fun story.

One gripe that I had was the many characters that ran back and forth in this story - I found myself flipping through the pages trying to keep up with who was who. Once I got a fairly good idea of who was after who and who sided with who and why this person had a gripe with that person...the story proved to be rather amusing.

I would very much like to read the story involving Captain James Ardmore. In fact, he was my favorite character in the whole book and seemed to be (in my opinion) more pirate than pirate hunter.

All in all, an enjoyable read with MANY interesting characters. *grin

This is my first book by this author and definitely won't be my last! Initially it was a little confusing as to who was who due to the multitude of secondary characters introduced at the beginning of the book but by the story's conclusion each characters' role became clear and you were left hoping their story was next. First book in the Pirates trilogy and a quick and enjoyable read.

Highly recommend this one. You'll fall in love with Gray, and Alex is a great heroine.

Widow Alexandra Alastair is making a list of potential husbands. After meeting her new neighbor, Viscount Stoke, she thinks about possibly adding him to the list. But the fact that Grayson Finley is a former pirate makes her pause. Enamored with Alexandra at their first meeting, Grayson is determined to charm her into his bed. He doesn't plan on Alexandra being caught in the middle of a war between him and a group of pirate hunters who want him dead.

This is a light historical romance with some funny scenes. I liked both Alexandra and Grayson individually, but it took me a while to warm up to Alexandra and Grayson as a couple. I enjoyed many of the secondary characters in this book. I'm guessing some of them may have their own book in this trilogy. I'll have to check them out. My rating: 3.5 Stars.

This was a great book. I have not read a pirate book in a long time and enjoyed this fast read. Couldn't put it down.

Adventure, a smart heroine, a great hero and a marvelous romance.

When a pirate moves in next door to Alexandra her life will never be the same. As for the pirate now a viscount, he is in for the experience of a lifetime.

This was a fun read, I like the adventurious spirit of all the ladies and the I can do as I please pirates. Very good storyline with lots of unexpected twists. The story moves along really quickly and you don't get bogged down. The characters are so fun and lively you wish they were your neighbors! A great read.
