This is the true story of Captain Kidd, the Pirate Hunter. It offers a fascinating glimpse into the lives of ordinary seamen, what they ate, how the relieved themselves, their pleasures and the ghastly punishments they endured. Read it for the history, or read it for the adventure, but know that once you start you won't be able to stop--this is truely a good read. It is like a wild ride filled with enticing and documented details. History of greed and corruption. Excellent time spent with this book.
