What an exciting book! I couldn't put it down. Alexander Hawke is asked by the U.S. to rescue a deep cover CIA agent, Harry Brock. Harry has found out a secret agreement involving MidEast oil exists between China and the French foreign minister. Brock needs to get this information to his superiors, but is grabbed, drugged and tortured by the Chinese before he can tell anyone. Hawke goes to Cannes, to find Harry Brock who is an unwilling victim of a sadistic, Chinese assassin on a ship docked in the harbor. Hawke must rescue Harry, but this is only the beginning. There is a far deadlier plot in the making. Will this be the next World War?
