One of my all-time favorites. I remember reading this as a kid, and just loving the concept of this giant dog, full of love and fun, but can't seem to learn simple commands. After getting kicked out of dog school, the mother of the story goes to bed lamenting. And that night a robber sneaks into the house, and the daughter figured out that by reversing the commands, that pinkerton actually does do what he's told, but has a different understanding of what those words are asking for. Great pictures, lots of fun. A classic.
