I received this book as a Goodreads first-reads winner.

The book is told from the POV of a young seamstress named Kate who is instrumental in the crafting of the famous Pink Suit worn by Jacqueline Kennedy on the day her husband was assassinated. I assumed this book was going to talk more about "the Wife" than it actually does, but it is more about Kate and the life she is living before, during and after the suit is done.
It was quite a fascinating story even though I have next to no interest in fashion. It takes place in NYC at a time when a woman had to be extra careful of where and with whom she was seen least she become the topic of neighborhood gossip.
I am looking forward to reading my from this author!
