I haven't read a book by Mr. Keillor for a few years, yet this was instantly familiar. A good read in general, yet corny at times, a bit too neat, and his own presence as a character felt too pat at times. Still, he brought us to a happy ending with a neat twist at the end. My favorite part was a bit of theology in: his closing poem: "Life has slipped through my hands. What can I do? ... Love can only be restored by practicing love. The daily labor of love--offering it to the Lord and to yourself and your neighbor. ... Everything you need to know, you know already."
