Wow! This book is incredible. I can hardly wrap my head around the author's mind that could write this amazing journey. I actually had this book on my shelf for a couple of years without realizing the treasure within. It's the poster child for "you can't judge a book by its cover". Look at this unassuming cover with its simple unassuming title and the author's unassuming name. Don't let that fool you. I am so impressed! I was wishing I read it on Kindle because there was so much I wanted to highlight. (And I will be rereading at some point so I will be adding the kindle version as well.) As it were, I had to dogear several pages. But it IS a thriller and it IS scary. Lots to ponder and to fear. One of the best books I have ever read, definitely one of the best thrillers. I will be seeking more of Mr. Hayes' work.
I just couldn't get through the first 100 pages. It was slow and muddled for me. It sounded like it should have been something I loved, and perhaps it gets better, but every time I picked it up I could only get a few pages until I was bored. So I gave up!
