Sequel to the Peretti classic "This Present Darkness," this book not only continues the series, but continues to challenge the reader to enlarge their view of spiritual warfare. Hard to put down, a very well written novel.

Frank Peretti has done it again...making you wonder was it really fiction or was it truth?! The battles Tal and his Angelic forces encounter against the Strongman and his demons for humans is projected in such a real setting that you feel like you are there. You feel each swing of their swords and cheer each puff of red smoke!

WONDERFUL!!!!!!!
I'm reviewing this old one because it's the one I own. This is a fantastic book. Doesn't matter if you're Christian or not, although coming from someone with a religious background I might be a bit biased. He's a damn good writer. I have read this book several times because each time I read it I remember something I forgot, or find something else that speaks to me. It has lots of action for that action-loving fiend in me. But it also has actual development of characters. You get to watch as these people transform. And from what I remember (bc I read it years ago now), the reader gets to follow a couple of characters. If you're a Christian it's simply a sin you haven't picked it up. If not, give it a try and tell me if a non-Christian can enjoy something like this. Honestly, he's just a great writer.

I must say I was looking for this sequel to have a little more depth than the first book. Sadly though the book was directed mainly towards spiritual warfare, and the prevalence of evil. I felt it geared more towards trying to paint a picture of demonic evil and in doing so, the story plot was over done and a bit dry at times. It ended well, though could have used a better ending. I did enjot the book but the first one was my favorite.
This book was just as good as the first one. Both stories really make you think about how the world works and the unseen forces that influence our daily lives.
The story in this book was an eye opener. Just try it!
