great story teller..certainly a moral story but a well told story of the holocaust and a past some think too horrifying to remember
The prose is really virtuosic in spots but in the final analysis I didn't judge this book a "keeper" - the wrap-up of the story didn't quite deliver a punch and, for me, missed opportunities to have real impact compared to other books like it.
