While I did learn some good things from this book, it is poorly written. This book is written as though it should be read from beginning to end- a tall order for a 700-some page book! I'd prefer complete explanations for each project, and not "if you don't understand this go back and read chapters 2 & 3." That happens A LOT.
The illustrations are often on a different page from the directions they are supposed to go with- for visual people this is very frustrating! Following the directions doesn't always turn out the way its supposed to, which just ticks me off. All in all, this book is not for dummies, and is best used as a paperweight or flower press.
