This is a great book. Not so much a how-to book, as an assorted photographic biography of photographers of the past. A picture, its meaning, and info about the photographer. It shows a wide variety of photographers, and photos.
I got this as a reference book for my children. There are too many unnecessary nudes. I'm sure these photographers also took photos that people had their clothing on... those are the ones that should have been included. Will come in handy as a book reference with bio info when they need to write papers on a particular photographer, but we won't be using it as a coffee table book.
