I just love the way this author brings to her stories the "realness" of peoples lives. Not everyone is perfect in the Coulter/Kendrick family series of books and it's so refreshing to read. I love the romance of the story but it's not the typical guy gets girl - there are typically twists involved which is great to read. I just love this author.

Well written story with a wheel-chair bound heroine and a big hearted cowboy hero. Lots of family involved with the h/h, set in contmeporary Oregon.
Learned a lot about the day-to-day reality of spinal chord injuries and the strenghths needed to live with them.

Although this is an old book - I thoroughly enjoyed it. I think it may be one of Catherine Anderson's best. I found it interesting to read especially since the main character was a paraplegic - brought to light some things most people don't have to think about. I highly recommend this book.

One glance, That's all it takes. Wealthy rancher Ryan Kendrick falls hard--and fast--for lovely Bethany Coulter. A beguiling mix of sass and shyness, naivete and maturity, she shares his passion for horses, had a great sense of humor, and can light up a room with her beautiful smile. She's absolutely perfect--in every way but one....
A long-ago barrel-racing accident has left Bethany confined to a wheelchair. In the years since, she had known both betrayal and heartbreak--and vowed never to open her heart to a man again. She has even accepted the possibility that she'll never be able to enjoy a healthy intimate relationship--or have childre of her own. But there's something about handsome Ryan Kendrick. Something that makes her believe she can overcome every obstacle. Something that makes hjer believe in lifelong, lasting love...

This was a very sweet and touching romance.

After picking this book up and starting it I could not put it down until 2 days later after finishing it. I would take my lab to the park and walk him on a leash while reading this book.

I believe that I have read all of the Coulter family books, and this is by far my least favorite. I've enjoyed learning about the physical problems of the heroines, but this drew out the problems into a book that is much too long and much to specific about Bethany's sexual problems. I also think the conversations between the characters are phony and unrealistic. I don't recommend reading this book.

Great story line! May be better than the first in this series. Can't wait to get started on the #3.

I really like that her main characters feel real with flaws and all. She's a wonderful writer and I love that she interconnects her books so you get glimpses of old characters lives within the current story. Most of her main characters has some physical handicap to overcome and deal with and it's nice to read about people with real challenges.
