I was reading last night and remembered a story that I think was written by Peter Straub, I can't think of anyone that could do it better. It was about a postman that started a new route in a new town. The town had three postman in as many months, I think they kept disappearing. He didn't want to go down a certain street. Every time he did a certain house seemed to shrink. I don't remember the rest of the story. I may have some parts wrong. Does anyone know a story like this? It's driving me crazy.

I think I read this book in the past but can't remember the name either. It might have been written by bentley little or john saul as I have read many of their books.

I checked both and haven't found anything. Can you remember any of the story I might have missed? Or another author? I thought that it was part of a collection of short stories. I could be wrong though.
