Pete rides up to the Winged T cattle ranch with one purpose: to retrieve his stolen money. A self-proclaimed drifter, he is not a man to get roped into anything. But within moments of his arrival he finds himself owner of a cattle ranch and husband to a charming woman. His new wife looks at him as if he were a cross between Paul Bunyan and Wild Bill Hickok--a lot of pressure for a confirmed wanderer. But when he takes the petite beauty in his arms, he wonders what it would be like to be tied to one place, to one woman. For though he came in search of his fortune, he finds something far more precious: the love of a lifetime.

From The Critics
Romantic Times
Pete continues the saga of The Cow-boys and, true to the series, is a tender and wonderful story of finding true feelings of belonging. Well-written and engaging, the tale of Anne's transformation through love from a woman who feels unworthy to a tigress will be enjoyable for readers.

I love this book. It is what a western romance should be. I read it in two days. It's another great read by Leigh Greenwoon.

Pete is a fun guy just interested in getting the money he earned in the gold fields home. But when he is left for dead with everything stolen (including the clothes he was wearing) and discovers another man killed by the same group, but nothing stolen, the intrigue begins. Leigh Greenwood's characters and plot pull you in and make it an enjoyable ride.
