With only about 50 pages to tell the whole story of the Persian Empire, I can understand why Hourly History did not include any photos of the magnificent buildings and art. However, as a reader, I encourage anyone who picks up a copy of this book to google "Safavid Dynasty" and take a look at the art and buildings. A thousand years later and they are still beyond belief.
I'm sure there was more left out than included in this overview of such an extensive empire, however, I congratulate the author(s) for putting together a congruent and readable survey. There is an extensive bibliography for further reading.
