I've never read anything by Vincent Zandri before, but soon realized I was in for a treat. Permanence has two characters, which is very off the wall, but made this a read easy to follow along. Mary obviously has problems and with the way Zandri writes, you can easily find yourself immersed in their lives. I was empathetic with Mary, yet I wanted to shake her for some of her choices. Permanence isn't a long book but it will stay with you long after you finish. A roller-coaster ride that has dimensional characters and star-quality writing, I'll definitely be looking for his books in the future!
