HATED this book for the sole reason that Deepak says NOT to eat breakfast. WTF? Excuse my language but you just lost me! There on page 49 ... "For most people following this program, the best routine will be to take little or no breakfast. Unlike Western medicine, Ayurveda considers breakfast to be an optional meal, not a necessary one." Deepak says you should eat lunch the same time everyday and that meal should be the heaviest. So, you're eating NO breakfast, waiting until about noon for lunch to gorge, then eating a light dinner. On page 48, Deepak says "By taking your lunch at about noon or 12:30 p.m., you can digest even a large quantity of food and assimilate it properly. This will generate maximum energy and will therefore help avoid the need to have a large dinner, which is more difficult to digest, digestion being less keen in the evening. This one very simple change will actually make a profound difference in your metabolism. Because digestion is stronger at midday, it is more efficient in converting food into energy instead of fat." What a bunch of BS. Sorry but I really can't recommend this book to anyone. There is nothing informative I took away from this book. I'm not even sure the Ayurveda body-type questionnaire is accurate.
