I could not put this book down. It was a great book, however I will never understand why the girl who was trapped for so long did not leave when their were many opportunities to do so.
After being held prisoner for years and enduring years of painful abuse, I would risk it all if I thought that there was a chance at freedom.
This book is about a girl who was kidknapped and kept by a husband and wife and stored under a bed in a man made box. This went on for years. Eventually they let her out to run loose in the home and introduced her to friends as a relative who just came to visit.

Horrific story with some revealing psychological insight into the mind of captive victims. Not the greatest true crime book, but a decent read and a quick one.
