This book gives you an inside look at what it is like to live with an addiction and how quickly that addiction can deteriorate your life, no matter what your social or economic status.

Denise and Derek, the couple in this book believe that they have the perfect marriage, the perfect child and the perfect life. All that changes when they begin to use drugs, first as a legitimate prescribed painkiller, then cocaine recreationally at a party, and then as full blown drug addicts.

Their secret life is kept well hidden until Denise is put on leave from work and Derek is fired from his job. In the meantime, their daughter Mackenzie has more sense than her parents. She sets out to teach them a hard lesson.

Very quick read - recommended.
