Ryder Montgomery and Hope Beaumont have clashed ever since she became the Innkeeper for the Boonsboro Inn that is owned by Ryder's family. Ryder wanted someone who lived in the area and knew small town life. He believes Hope, a former manager at a glamorous D.C. hotel, is a city girl who wouldn't like the small town atmosphere. Hope left her old job when she discovered her boyfriend had been cheating on her when he dumped her and married another woman. When he comes to Boonsboro to convince her to come back to her old job and him, she sees red and asks Ryder to play her lover in order to get rid of the old one for good.
The final book in the Inn at Boonsboro trilogy was my favorite of the series. I thought Ryder and Hope worked well as a couple. I could see them falling in love as the story progressed. A secondary plot carried throughout the series. A ghost haunts the restored Inn, sometimes helping the main characters with their individual romances. Her story and the reason why she is at the Inn comes to a good conclusion. My rating: 4 Stars.
Third in a trilogy. Of course Nora Roberts writes good books but it was pretty predictable what was going to happen. Had to read all three books to know how the ghost turned out.
Just enjoyed this book so much. What a great series of characters.
Loved the book - it's the second in a three part series and while you can read it by itself, the best way is to read them in order. I'm now reading the last book and can't wait to find out about the ghost.
