Henry Ford was a talented mechanical tinkerer with a powerful drive to succeed in business and dominate others. He was also a mediocre manager and a man of surprisingly limited education.

Steven Watts goes into considerable detail in portraying Ford's motivations and achievements, and Ford's considerable personal weaknesses. This book could have easily been edited to half its length and accomplished Watts goal.
