A story of prehistoric North America. It is #4 in a series of North
American prehistory, but you do not have to have read the other books to understand and enjoy this book.

Well, it's a great book, in fact it's so great I have two copies. One I'm reading and one I ordered from another swapper. I like most of Gear's books, and I'm not disappointed with this one. Fast paced, the Gear team put together a fine story.

Fourth of the great anthropologically based series beginning with the settlement of the epi- glacial North American Continent and visiting tribal peoples over the next few thousand years. I loved them all.

Along the lines of Auel's stories. Primitive life, shamans and snow. Book has spine creases but very clean and tight.

This is the last book of the series I plan to read. All the books follow the same predictable formula. You would expect that books written by scientists would not contain so much mysticism and lot more real information. But the biggest problem with these books is that they are boring.
