As an atlas, this book is disappointing. If you want to locate the Valley of the Kings, Deir el-Bahri, or Deir el-Medina, all of which are frequently mentioned in the text, you need to go to a rather unhelpful detail map on page 78, which doesn't even show you where the Nile is in relation to the sites, but also is not listed in the index under any of those site names. It took me quite a lot of searching through the book and index before I found that map and then it was revealed that all of those sites and other well-known ones are clumped here as Western Thebes.
