From the Best Selling Author of The First Wives Club and Compromising Positions (both made into very good films), as well as the less well known but insightful Switcheroo, and the cutely absurd Marrying Mom. In this one, a young lawyer takes the heat for her scummy boss and her boyfriend and only learns once she's in jail for their crimes that they set her up....in Goldsmith's world the women never get mad - they get EVEN!

Just reading this most excellent novel made me sad all over again that Miss Goldsmith died and will never produce another novel like this---that can make you laugh and get mad and teach you at the same time. This was the third or fourth time I read this book----I find the Goldsmith novels stand up to re-reads very well!

I never knew that even in prison women are denied services that are available to men. This was a real awakening for me. I had never given this much thought, but you don't hear anything about women's detention centers on the news. It is only the men's situations that are discussed. The fact that the main character never expected to go to prison and was promised a reprieve if she took the blame for her male boss made this all the more horrifying. A really good read.

Good story with a lot of run twists. A female version of Shawshank.

Good book! It's been awhile since I've read it, but still remember the details. Not your everyday book.
