The cover of the book says it is book one in a series, but obviously something else came before. It is constantly referred to and never explained. Aside from this, I found the book violent and a little crude, with little plot beyond bad guy kidnaps girl, they sort of fall in love with each other for no good reason, and the good guys are constantly either chasing or battling to get her back.
Although the book ends right in the middle of things, I feel no desire to seek out book two.

Good story, wish I'd known it was in a series before I'd read it. Some backstory or introduction would have helped. I did enjoy it enough to want to read the previous titles in the series.
