I thoroughly enjoyed this "retelling" of Paul's life! While there is plenty of speculation and surmise, what the author has written supports Scripture and is supported in return. I also gained some insight into the historical times involved; for instance, I had not gathered from my other studies that it was Nero that was the emperor that Paul was to see. A well-crafted story.

Not as enjoyable I thought as other historical fiction about characters from the Bible, but a intimate insite into Paul's view of the early church, his relationship with Jesus and Paul's heart for the Gentiles. Smooth reading, switches from many different perspectives.
I liked it enough to finish it.
