The story is getting better as it goes along. Nick is one of the most "hard luck" kind of guys I have ever read but he is getting stronger. It has been interesting to see him mature even though his story is shot through with sadness. I look forward to the last book but I dread coming to the end of it. If you started at the beginning and made it this far you are no doubt hooked. This book is a much easier read than the one before it because the author got away from the first person story telling. If you have read none of the books then start at the beginning and do so.
