Dr. Louis Camuti is in his 80's when he writes this book with the help of the Frankels. His veterinary practice in New York City has been unusual in that he made "house calls". A no nonsense dr, he remembers the funny times as well as the sad times with his patients and their owners.

This book of reminiscences was written by a famous veterinarian who made house calls in New York city and mainly treated cats. Some of the stories are touching, others are very funny. They remind me of James Herriot's stories a little, though they are generally shorter than his.

This book was such a joy to read. It was full of such funny things that had happened to him and his clients. I think you would probably have to be a cat lover to enjoy it, though.

A cat doctor in New York City recounts some of his cases, all of them amusing. For all fans of James Herriot, especially cat owner. Great fun.

An enjoyable story about a vet in New York City who makes housecalls. Delightful descriptions of the pets Dr. Camuti treated as well as their just as colorful owners. If you liked James Herriot's books, you will like this one.

The tales of a big city feline vet, this book was impossible to put down! The writers wonderfully portrayed the emotion in each of the feline patients, rendering their unique personalities clearly in each story.

A must for any cat lover!

Interesting book, not only for the cat facts but also because of the life Dr. Camuti led. I can only wish that more people were like him.
