This book deals with the early years of Catherine of Aragon. For the most part, it is extremely accurate, especially for juvenile reading. Had Meyer continued with the work, it might be ranked as one of the best works of about Catherine of Aragon. Unfortunately, it ended right as the true story began [the marriage to King Henry VIII]. However, considering how Anne Boleyn was labeled, it is not surprising they would bot be used in juvenile reading.
A historical note was added at the end to brief the reader on the rest of the story.

This book tells the tale of Catherine of Aragon and how she came to marry Henry VIII. I found this book a refreshing break from the usual YA historical fiction, which tends to sacrifice historical accuracy for the sake of "appealing to modern readers" or beating us over the head with the author's opinions. All the characters came off as authentic, both as members of their time and as people, and I found myself cheering for Catherine as she tries to make her way in the world.

Probably for twelve and up, though it will probably appeal to girls more than boys.

It was a very nice book, very informational. It was the book I'd been waiting for, I'd already read:
Doomed Queen Anne
Mary, Bloody Mary
Beware Princess Elizabeth
Which were all great books.

I'd recommend this book to anyone studying kings and queens.
