My new favorite from Card. I loved the main characters, and I really adored the premise behind the novel. I sort of figured out what was happening midway through the book. However, this didn't make it any less enjoyable. I devoured it.

I can't wait for more in the series!

I do not normally read young adult novels, but I could tell by the summary that I probably would like this one. I was right. It was quite creative, but what I most enjoyed was the unexpected humor. The characters often are wonderfully sarcastic and ironic, to the point where I was laughing out loud at various points throughout the story. I intend to read the second book in the series and perhaps 'Enders Game,' too, for which it seems Card is most well known.

This is a complex look at the tried and true sci fi theme of time travel and time manipulation. A book that is essentially driven by a scientific concept into a compelling page turner that I did not want to put down.

These are all great characters and the author does quite a bit of world building by just letting us in on what is going on in their heads. This is an adventure tale told in a fashion that will be a bit subtler than some teens are used to. There's plenty of excitement, interesting science concepts to ponder, and memorable moments to keep any sci fi fan reading away.

The strength of this book lies in the intrigue and mystery surrounding Rigg, and it's this that in the end keeps the plot moving and the reader interested. A recommend for any sci fi fan, whether teen or adult.
