April Christofferson is a very imaginative writer, right up there with Robin Cook. The story she weaves is action-packed while she takes you on a journey with scientists looking for precious DNA, through the jungles of the Amazon, with all of the dangers and downright scary predators lurking in every treetop, bush and river bottom. If you like medical thrillers, you will love this one.

Very informative and kind of scary scenario of what pharmaceutical companies could be capable of when trying to obtain new drugs or at least the patent for a new drug. Relax--it's only fiction---right?

From cover - Dr. Jake Scully doesn't want to think that the co. he works for is exploiting anyone, let alone killing natives for the unique properties of their DNA. But if he blows the whistle on the co.'s criminal activities, he risks putting his own life - and his family - in danger.
A great read.
