I found this book to be really well put together. It has us traveling from New York to Paris, to the middle east, and all the while, on the side, getting an education about gems! I has romance, ingrigue, power, fast cars and travel! This could be a James Bond flick!

This book was surprising good as a thriller of romantic suspense. Set in the moneyed world of international jewel auctions, it centers around neophyte jewelry designer Allegra Sheridan, who is sent to Paris to bid upon an extraordinary emerald ring. International jewel thieves and the lives of the rich and famous intersect in this novel of mystery, adventure and exotic settings.
